Statement from Hartselle Utilities
Statement from General Manager Ferrell Vest-Hartselle Utilities….Hartselle Utilities was able to restore power to approximately 5 of 12 circuits late Thursday night through a cooperative effort with TVA. Approximately 2,900 electric customers are still without power. Hartselle Utilities does not anticipate a change in the current status or power outages through next week. There is NO issue with the Hartselle Utilities water system and all customers should continue to have water.
Hartselle After Dusk Update
Due to the power being restored to over half of the homes and businesses in Hartselle the City of Hartselle has lifted the dusk to dawn curfew. However the Hartselle Police Department will aggressively patrol the areas that are still without power. Please do not travel through these areas unless you are a resident or have an urgent need to do so. If you do have a need to be traveling in areas where there is still no power be prepared to be identified and questioned by a police officer.
Hartselle Storm Update
The City of Hartselle has not received any reports of damage from yesterday’s storms. However, due to damage to TVA’s distribution lines, power may not be restored for several days. The Civic Center is open for emergency shelter.
