Fire Department

Hartselle Fire & Rescue serves a community population of approximately 14,000 inside the corporate limits of Hartselle and covering a land area of approximately 15 miles. Hartselle Fire & Rescue responds primarily to fires and emergency medical service calls. These include but are not limited to calls for public assistance as well as hazardous materials and special response.

The City of Hartselle has two fire stations located on the East and West side of the city. We have a full time paid staff of twenty firefighters and twenty volunteers. The firefighting staff works twenty-four hour shifts (one day on and two days off).  The department plays an active role in the surrounding communities providing mutual aid to other departments when needed. The City of Hartselle has an Insurance Services rating of 5.
