Effective August 1, 2023, the City of Hartselle will implement Ordinance 1592 to address and provide regulations and procedures for door-to-door solicitors conducting business in the City of Hartselle. As not all citizens of Hartselle wish to receive door-to-door solicitation, a “No Solicitation“ registry has been established. Any citizen of Hartselle who does not wish to receive door-to-door solicitors may add their address the registry on the City’s web page at www.hartselle.org. Citizens are also welcome to stop by City Hall and complete a “No Solicitation” registration form to be added to this registry. As an alternative to the registry, citizens may post a small “No Solicitation” or “No Trespassing” sign at their residence near the main entrance door or main entrance gate to the residence, or on or near the property line adjacent to the street adjacent to, or the sidewalk leading to the residence. Per the ordinance, the posting of such a notice prohibits solicitation as well and all solicitors must have permits and City issued identification tags on their person. Please call City Hall at (256) 773-2535 with any questions you may have concerning this ordinance or to report any complaints.
